Water equipment and energy solutions supplier, Davis & Shirtliff has announced completion in construction of its ultra-modern distribution facility at Tatu Industrial park which aims at addressing needs of customers and significant trade growth within its African market.
Davis & Shirtliff Group Chairman Alec Davis made the announcement and said the facility is the company’s single largest investment to ever be undertaken. It is located at the expansive Tatu City development near Ruiru, some 25 kms from central Nairobi, the distribution centre sits on five acres of land hosting the group’s expansive warehouse facilities and offices.
Ultra-modern distribution facility
The facility sits is a 10,000m2 single-roofed warehouse that is equipped to support various consumer needs from household to large industry and is set to revolutionize the group’s operations. It features widely spaced columns, effective ventilation and six loading bays with dock levellers and the integral office block includes excellent staff facilities.
The centre was designed by international architects Boogertman and Partners and constructed to a high standard by Ark Construction with the portal frame provided by Steel Structures. Davis & Shirtliff plans to use the new facility to increase the company’s network to 70% coverage across Kenya and open its distribution network further in other African markets.
