Ongoing construction of road projects in Machakos County have been inspected by Alfred Mutua, the county Governor.
According to Mr. Mutua the project are progressing well and acknowledged the governments’s commitment to strengthening the county’s roads infrastructure network to promote trade. The governor added that the benchmark his administration is setting in the New Machakos City in terms of general infrastructure will serve as a model for replication in the rest of the urban centres across the county.
Local and foreign investment
”On that note, we are encouraging both local and foreign investors to make their way into Machakos and tap into the many available opportunities for investment owing to the investor-friendly climate my government has established,” Mutua explained.
He observed that as a county, they are looking forward to the speedy growth of the New Machakos City as they progress towards the end of the first quarter of the century. Menawhile, the Governor also played host to Professor Morombi Ole-Ronkei, the new vice-chancellor of Scott Christian University – founded by the Africa Inland Church in 1962.
”My Government has been partnering with Scott Christian University so as to enhance access to higher education by our youth, members of staff in my government and as well as various serving and former political leaders,” said Mutua.
He said that he intends to strengthen partnerships in research for development, including coming up with innovative and affordable solutions to challenges facing the regional government.
