Ukraine’s embassy took part in the official ceremony of laying the foundation of the Future Home of Island of Hope charitable center at the Rusinga Island in Kenya
The mission of the project is to create and develop a self-sufficient and sustainable community centre for the poor people and children of the Kamasengre area at the Rusinga Island. According to the embassy, the center will operate within the framework of the Transforming Nations international organization in Kakamega, founded by Ukrainian volunteers.
Access to quality education
This centre will provide them with an access to quality education taught with respect to each individual, basic medical treatment and will secure a home with all basic needs to orphans and lonely kids.
Future Home of Island of Hope will implement programs to support and rehabilitate children and youth in crisis, including girls who are victims of gender-based violence. The centre upon completion should serve as an example on how to improve living conditions by applying sustainable technology, mutual cooperation and solidarity.
